Saturday November 10th, 2012

Acupuncture Hale CA Clinic
1451 South King Street, Suite 409 Honolulu HI, 96814

This workshop consists of the following agenda with minor alterations according to local needs and resources – presented by Working Class Acupuncture, Lisa Rohleder, L.Ac. and Skip Van Meter, L.Ac.

PART ONE “Working Class Acupuncture” - 8:30am - 12:30pm
–Nuts and Bolts of the Business Model; Classism in Marketing by Lisa Rohleder, L.Ac.

Working Class Acupuncture, in Portland, Oregon has the mission of using acupuncture to create social change in health care by providing, and advocating for others to provide, accessible acupuncture for working class patients.  WCA also provides technical assistance to acupuncturists who want to make their practices accessible to patients who don’t have insurance.  This is not about free clinics, alcohol and drug treatment, or becoming a social service agency.  It’s a low-cost, high-volume business strategy designed to make health care affordable.

Attendees will have enough ideas, information, forms, and structural guidelines to shape and develop their practice around a sustainable business model.  Marketing material ideas, business structure, office tracking and tools will all be covered.  Focus on the who, the how and the why of your business.  Learn how to leverage resources and work to organize outreach in your community.  Get your patients to help you.  Learn how not to be the Lone Ranger.  Examine your idea of “the perfect patient” – the reasons you can (or cannot) attract those people.

PART TWO: "Advanced Acupuncture Techniques for Community Practice"  1:30-5:30

One of the keys to successfully operating a community acupuncture clinic is the ability to get good clinical results while treating multiple patients in an hour. This class will both focus on core principles of efficient diagnosis and treatment in the community setting. It will lead students through a clinic simulation exercise (no actual needling). Students will learn effective point protocols for common conditions, basic treatment plans, and how to communicate with patients in a high-volume setting through lecture, discussion, and role-plays.
Do you remember hublot replica watches are what things? I am sure you might not know this kind of watch. I can not tell you how many kinds of men watches, I very like those hublot, whether in talking about how to show the traditional fake hublot watches.
